Operations Support Technician

Looking for a Support Technician to assume responsibility for major client digital signage projects. We're looking for talented, motivated and highly skilled individual to join our dynamic and fast-paced culture and contribute to our company's rapidly developing success. This position reports to the Operations Manager.

You will coordinate efforts with other team members, vendor representatives and clients to work to resolve problems, while effectively communicating with other Popstar team members, management and clients. In addition, you will analyze and monitor progress and make recommendations when necessary. Knowledge of laptop and PC hardware and design is required. Technical, organizational, interpersonal, and practical thinking skills are a must in this position. Position offers opportunity to define processes as company grows. Under general supervision, provides technical support, training, and direction to our customers using computer equipment and applications on a wide area network (WAN) or large local area network (LAN); installs, tests, and resolves problems with computer hardware and software; adapts existing software to accommodate the needs of customers. The opportunity for growth from this position is extensive.

Duties

* Implement software components.
* Support installations of Popstar’s proprietary software in all phases of deployment.
* Test Popstar’s proprietary software in all phases of development.
* Take and document customer service calls. Assist in trouble shooting with customers and escalating the problem if it cannot be completed by you.
* Assist with network administration tasks, troubleshoot network problems, install software etc.
* Install and maintain various 3 rd party applications version control servers, web servers, etc.
* Build and repair computers.
* Help develop and maintain vendor relationships.
* Document Operational procedures and help develop best practices for growth

Requirements

* Must be a high-energy, self-sufficient, focused person who is comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.

Senior Multimedia Software Engineer

Web Developer

Popstar Networks has immediate openings for technical web developers. There is a minimum requirement of 5 years professional experience coupled with a can-do attitude and a strong desire to create great products while working closely with a team of engineering and creative professionals.

Duties

* Requirements gathering on website development projects
* Work with Popstar Design, Engineering and Management staff on implementation details
* Implement web applications in primarily LAMP/WAMP environments
* Work with stake holders to administer, maintain and improve existing website projects
* Support the efforts of our sales and creative teams
* Responsible, self-starter in a remote office environment (Des Moines, IA)

Requirements

* 3+ years of technical website development
* Extensive general information technology knowledge
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills
* Ability to work with source code control systems – Subversion in our case
